Point Nightbeam at a server you already run — a NAS in the cupboard, a seedbox, a VPS — and it builds a library out of what is already there. It speaks both SFTP and WebDAV, so if your server does either, you are set. Films and shows are sorted, deduplicated and grouped into seasons and episodes automatically, straight from the plain files: nothing to rename, nothing to tag, and no media server software to install at either end.
Stream from the server or download for offline. Watch on the phone, cast to a Chromecast, or plug in a cable and let an HDMI display or a pair of AR glasses take the video full screen. Your credentials sit in the system keychain, and Nightbeam talks to your server and nothing else.
